Kilasia Waterfalls

Kilasia waterfall is one of the physical features found on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro national park on the country side of Marangu. The source of water comes from the glaciers on top of Mount Kilimanjaro. The area is surrounded by stunning green landscape consisting of a huge variety of plants including banana and coffee plantations.
The waterfall is located at in Moshi district at Marangu which is a 40 minutes’ drive from Moshi town. At this point you can have a fantastic view of Mount Kilimanjaro (if weather permits).

Attractions:
Kilasia waterfall has a variety of attractions which are natural, man-made and even cultural attractions are found as you are headed to the waterfall. These include the beautiful landscape and weather of Marangu, coffee plantations, botanical gardens and the waterfalls and valleys. Also at some point it is possible to spot black and white colobus monkeys, tropical birds and other animals.

Activities:
There are a lot of activities to take place and these include hiking through the forest, bird watching, photographing bush meals and swimming.

Spending time:
The expected time to be spent for the whole trip is 6 to 7 hours for all of the activities. Personal nature expenses.
